The Invitation Template
Simple elegance is what we like so this is our invite. I came up with these in Publisher. All other information will be provided in the pocket along with some little extras. Of course for safty reasons, the white boxes must make an apperance!
My Pocket folds!
These were truly a labor of love! Between school, work and my family; these took a LOT of time.I followed the directions that cmkuno had in her bio to cut and make these pocket folds by hand. (link below) I did go back and trim the pocket though, it was kind of large! The cardstock was $.59 each. The Rose Quartz paper was $.50 each but I only used 1/2 a sheet and the paisley paper was scrap from my envelope liner! So the total cost was $.84 each so far!
* Insparation and directions from this piece is from Knottie cmkuno *
The bellybands
I wanted something simple. I used Josh's 4E, and a 1 inch hole punch. Fed them through the Xyron. Punched 1 1/4 circles out after sticking them on left over cardstock attached the 5/8 ribbon, then glued everything to 1 1/2 inch circles on my pink metalic pearl paper.
Cost for 30: $1.67 or $.06 each! I used scraps and left overs from other projects so the ribbon is all I needed to buy!
Lined envelopes
The envelopes are lined! It was really easy and quick to do. Awesome in my opinion, although I may be a little bias! The envelopes were $7.41 for 30 from Ebay seller Rainforstone, including shipping. The paper is from HL. I got it for 1/2 price before the price went up so they were $.15 each.
Total cost for 30: $11.91 or $.40 each!
Final version of STD insert
I didn't really like the look of the other insert that I did. I
took all the stickers I made, off and printed directly on cream/ivory cardstock. Then I cut everything down to size and glued it all together. Josh and I both think they look a lot better.
It took 9 sheets of the cream cardstock at $.22 each (1/2 off at HL) and the brown was left over from the pocket folds. Cost: $1.98 or $.07 each.
The Calendar stickers
Here's the calendar sticker! It took me about an hour to make from start to finish. I went into MS Publisher; custom sized the paper to .5'. I wanted something simple so I started with our initials, added the date, and a diamond in the background. Went into print setup and changed the spacing between to .5' and printed. It was really easy to punch them out after cutting the strips with my trimmer. My puncher is 3/4'. I fed them through the Xyron two at a time. Putting them through the Xyron took the longest.
I had everything on hand but had to order the paper. Cost: $.50 total for the paper or $.006 each.
Template of the new magnet
When I knew I had to re-do the magnet due to the date change, I decided to completly make over the magnet. I really like how this one looks, and I get to use another of my monograms. (I love those things *so* much!)
I got them printed through Vista Print for the cost of shipping only!
The postcards... yet again
I refuse to do these postcards one more time. But I guess, third time is the charm! All that needed to be changed on these were the date, so I just added the new "4E" monogram.
This time I really wanted to just get them done, so instead of ordering them from VP, I printed them at home then used my paper trimmer to cut them. (I only need 30, 24 for invitations and 6 as back-up.) It was really simple and quick! Less then half and hour from start to finish and approx $0.37 in cardstock. I baught a bulk pack of cream cardstock from Staples for $7 and can use it on a bunch of different projects. So the cost per piece is $.02!
Will You Be My cards
Josh and I had been mentioning the "M" word almost since the day we met, so I kept telling my girls that when it happens I'm asking you to by my MOH/BM. So even though we know and they know, I wanted to make them the cards.
Pink for the MOH Katie. Chocolate for my BMs, Crystal and Anji.
Cost: $ .45 for 3 sheets of cardstock 1 pink, 1 chocolate and 1 beige) ribbon: $0- already had on hand. Total cost each: $.15!
The inside of the cards
I got the image from www.weddingchicks.com in my colors then saved the photo and shopped it in using Publisher.
Escort Card Favor Tags
Something clean cut to help our guests find their spot.
They were printed on cardstock from HL and cut with my paper trimmer then had a hole punched in the point so that I can tie the ribbon through. I will be tying them on heart shape rice crispy treats; Josh's favorite sweet. At the tables, our guests will find my favorate sweet, chocolate truffles; on their placemat above their napkins.
Cost: $.01 each! I paid $0.88 for 4 sheets of ivory/cream cardstock @ HL during 50% off scrapbook week.
Drink Menu Template
Still in the spirit of keeping it simple yet elegant, I wanted something that will display what we are serving. The men in our lives are not picky, so Josh picked the beer. I'm allergic to several things so we kept the signature drinks things I can have.
We will display this on both sides of the bar in a 10x8 frame, you can see the set-up below. And printed it on the same paper I got from Staples.
To keep a cohesive design we used this background on all the sinage.
Signs for bathroom basket
I totally "borrowed" this from "Little Miss Wedding Planner". I'm also copying the list of items that she has list. Check her out, her ideas are awesome!
I printed these as 6x4 on the same cream cardstock I got at Staples, 2 on only 1 page. Super economically exceptable, extremely time friendly. It took 20 minutes to paint glue on the frame then glitter it. It only took 2 minutes to finish them off with clear sealer spray paint. Photos below.
Mad Libs Template
I was lucky with this one! Because I saved it as a JPEG file I was able to just place the new monogram over the old one and resave as a new JPEG file!
I got the file from Hannah, you can find the information for her bio under "all the little umph" by my cake topper.
Water bottle lable Templates
Another redo, but I'm happy with how they came out. I kept some the same and changed others. I can never keep my thoughts the same when it comes to creativity!
I printed them on vellum. I need them 100% waterproof but wanted to cut out some time. Since vellum by itself is waterproof but the ink that I'm using to print it will not be, I'm unsing packing tape to surround the bottle. As long as there is no bubbles in the tape and the ends are completely sealed in tape I shouldn't have a problem leavig these in ice for our guests to grab.
Cost breakdown:$10.19 total or $.09 each lable. It cost $4.19 for the vellum purchased at HL with a 40% coupon and $6 for 3 rolls of tape.
Envelope seals
Gotta have the pretty for the envelopes! I was going to print these via VP but then decided that I wanted to print them at home using parchment paper and my trusty Xyron. More to deal with but still totally worth it!
Reserved signs
I can't take 100% credit on this one. I found the image under "google images" for pink brown damask. I just added the pink around the image, an ivory box in the middle, and "reserved for". So who ever uploaded that image thank you!
I had them printed from VP at the cost of shipping. I used 10 free invitations to get them printed on.
Kid's activity book
I really didn't want to go through the hastle of re-doing these; but when I tried to remove the cover plate I wound up tearing the whole thing! Then I was 5 short; so I just re-did all of them. I was NOT going through the process of printing out all of the pages and doing all the cutting and stapling again so I had 13 of them printed at Office Depot (12 for the kids, one as an extra for $23.16 or $1.78 each. It was a DIY splurge, but totally worth not having to print or staple 338 pages again! I did them in booklet style, double sided printing with an ivory cover on them.
We also decided to change the original cover. We didn't want to have the date on it this time so we looked through clip art we liked and found a really cute image here but Josh isn't wearing a bow tie and I'm wearing my hair down. So I used that image as a guide and re-drew it to our specific situation. I scanned it into the computer, and got the font from Dafont.com here.
I also covered the binding with 5/8 ribbon I ran through the Xyron (2 at a time!). It makes them look just a little cleaner and more "book like".
Cost break down: $32.16 or $2.47 each. It was $23.16 for printing, $3 for the ribbon and $6 for the paper.
Guest signature poster
I origianally planned to have this printed from VP; and I did, but the quality was NOT what I was used to from VP! So I took the file in a large file (7000x5000, 350 DPI) jpeg format to Office Depot and had them print it for me. It only cost $14 and I had it in hand in 10 minutes! Now, THAT is fast printing! There is very little pixilation where the "A" overlaps both "J"s, but other then that it's really crisp We intend to put it in a large poster frame and have guests sign it as they come into the reception.
Sign for the guest poster
I completely stole this poem. I really did, but I can give you the source! I just googled "guess book sign wording" and it popped up here.
As soon as print and frame it, I will be glad to update the photo.
